For 50 years, WHSAF has relied on support from the community to provide an educational theater experience to high school and college students throughout Greater Hartford. Participants are asked to pay a registration fee which can make access to our program limiting for many students.
Over the course of many years, the cost of doing productions of this caliber has only risen. This has resulted in increased registration fees for students creating a significant financial burden for many families. The Summer Arts Festival Endowment Fundlooks to raise funds to both offset the cost of registration for all participants and provide additional assistance to students with economic hardship. This fund will ensure we can continue our mission to offer the very best educational theatre experience to every student for years to come.
To celebrate our 50th year, the Ellen Jeanne Goldfarb Memorial Charitable Trust has generously approved a matching gift challenge for new donors. This grant will match eligible contributions dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000!
